Diagnostics and Certified Testing- Intro

Within our cluster you will find experienced, competent specialists who welcome questions and challenging problems pertaining to damage analysis, characterisation of materials, non destructive and destructive material testing (inclusive of training), structural mechanics, machine dynamics and acoustics, as well as calibration of dimension measuring instruments and metrology techniques.

We thus offer comprehensive support on selecting the right material for machinery components (metals, polymers, ceramics & coatings), to interpretation of experimental measurements (e.g. tensile behaviour, material processing state) and fatigue analysis, up to quality assurance, failure investigations and questions on material of all types.  In addition, we perform material property investigations, including of quality assurance and numerical and experimental stress analyses under operating conditions, where our comprehensive range of modern measuring instrumentation enables state-of-the-art vibration and data analyses. In failure investigations we can access the broad knowledge on corrosion, wear and mechanics expertise within the business units throughout Sulzer and recommend optimum remedies within a short time period. Our business and test procedures in our accredited laboratories and inspection stations, correspond to the respective international standards such as EN, ISO, ASTM, ASME, NADCAP and others.

Through innovative thinking and action with our specialists we are, for both internal and external customers, a reliable partner for development of analysis -, test and measuring procedures, which are not normally found in the standard references. Our independence, authority and flexibility help our customers to secure their success by increasing their value and competitiveness.
