Production and Engineering combines manufacturing competencies in machining and welding technology with the accompanying engineering background. Our customers, small and middle-class businesses as well as international corporations benefit from our integration in Sulzer Innotec with technical diagnostics, certified testing and R&D competencies in materials and fluid technology.
The Precision Machine Shop is specialised in the production of prototypes, sub-assemblies, complete systems, single parts and small to medium size batches. Among our customers are space and special machinery companies as well as turbomachinery and pump manufacturers. Experienced co-workers and state-of-the-art equipment allow complex manufacturing processes like 5-axes simultaneous milling also with challenging materials like titanium- or nickel-based alloys.
The Laser Surface Engineering group operates several high-power lasers for material processing and offers a wide range of laser welding services for customers in several different business areas ranging from medical technology, through mold production, to gas turbine components. The laser build-up welding process in particular is used for repair applications but also in new part manufacturing.
For decades, the welding group Joining and Heat Treatment is carrying out a wide variety of high-quality welding assignments with challenging materials and material combinations for customers in Switzerland, Europe and the whole world. Individual welder training and subsequently welder examination is also offered. All services are provided either in the own welding shop or on the customers site.
Our production is supported by the Manufacturing Engineering, engineers that are specialised on production and laser technology. The experienced Welding Engineering supports our customers in welding issues and offers welding supervision.
