Applications
A variety of functions can be obtained with simple coating systems e.g. scratchproof, anti-stick, hydrophobic, sealing, self-cleaning, anti-fogging and coloured coatings can be obtained with liquid-based deposition methods
| Hydrophobic Coatings |
Fluor-based layers can minimize the water affinity of your product surfaces to such an extent that they will never be wet again. Moreover, these coatings also exhibit very interesting self-cleaning properties. |
Methods
Besides the obvious dip coating method, there are a very large number of deposition methods for solutions and slurries. We have the most common ones at our direct disposal: spraying, spin coating, and screen printing.
| Spray Pyrolysis Equipment |
Sol gel layers usually need a thermal treatment after deposition. With spray pyrolysis, it is possible to perform this treatment simultaneously with the coating process. This method also allows obtaining custom designed surface roughness and quality. |
| Screen Printing Equipment |
Screen printing allows the deposition of thick layers (up to 100 µm). This technology is regularly used in the electronics industry for conducting or functional layers. Our pilot-production scale equipment can print surfaces up to 300 x 300 mm. | |
